| Field notes | Caespitose understory palm with one main shoot and two suckers, sterile. Main shoot about 1 m tall as measured to the base of the spear leaf. Number of leaflets in crown 4, not including spear leaf. Leaf sheath 40 cm long, tubular for about 10 cm, resolved uin fibrous mesh along split. Leaf petiole 50-70 cm long. leaf rachis 104 cm long, no. of leaflets 20, solitary or inserted in pairs proximally. |
