| Field notes | Solitary, up to 2 m tall. Leaves 8-10, in a rosette, leafbase ca. 10 cm long, 7 cm wide at base, not sheathing; petiole 80 cm long, rachis 60 cm long. Inflorescence 95 cm long, the outermost 30 cm thickened and fruitbearing. Fruits green, rachis purple red. Uses: Fruits are eaten. |
