| Field notes | Solitary tree, 9 m tall. DBH: 8 cm. Stem smooth, brown and greyish patterned from lichens. A sword is present. Leaves 9, dim. (1.7 x 0.7)m. Leafsheath fibrous, yellow to brown. Petiole 15 cm. Leaves almost entire to divided. Pinnae reduplicately inserted on rachis, green on both sides, nervation conspicous yellow. Inflorescences infrafoliar. 4 mature and 3 buds on this specimen. Prophyll 30 x 10 cm, furrowed longitudinally, yellowish green. 1 sterile bract. Peduncle 5 cm, glabrous and green.
