| Field notes | Solitary palm tree, stem 2.6 m tall and about 6 cm in diam., internodes 16 cm long on the middle part of the stem, green, leaf scars conspicuous 7-9 mm wide. Leaf sheath tubular forming a 52 cm long crownshaft, green with ferrugineous, deciduous ramenta. Petiole 17 cm long. Rachis 110 cm long. Number of leraflets 2 x 27, regularly distributed, one-folded except towards the apex and the base. Nom. vern.: "mun" (Bewani talkplace). Duplicates at: AAU, LAE, BRI, K, CANB. |
