| Field notes | Caespitose with one main shoot and several suckers. Main stem 7 m tall, 6 cm in diam. Number of leaves in crown 5. Leaf sheath tubular forming a 65 cm long crownshaft, greenish, covered with whitish powder and deciduous ferrugineous ramenta. Petiole 20 cm long. Rachis 140 cm long. Number of leaflets 2 x 20, grouped and pointing in differnt directions. Nom. vern.: "sem" (Bewani talkplace). Duplicates at: AAU, LAE, BRI, K, CANB. |
