Field notes Solitary palm, stem 310 cm tall, diam. 8 cm, distal internodes covered by whitish powdery indumentum. number of leaves in crown 22. Longest petiole 261 cm long. Three infructescences with green fruits: Prophyll 30 cm long, brown chartaceous dissolved in fibrous mesh. Peduncle 60 cm long, lentil-shaped in cross section, exposed for just 2-3 cm above the dissolved apex of the prophyl, green with ferrugineous tomentum. Basal rachis bract 25 cm long, brown, charctaceous with ferrugineous, deciduous ramenta. Number of partial inflorescences 8. Nom. vern.: "brunei bral" (Bewani talkplace).
