Field notes Fern terrestrial, leaves 1.20 m long, spirally arranged. Nom. vern.: pitchapè. Use: for stomach pains and diarrhoea. Preparation: a shaman plant. The leaves are put in a little puddle, filled with riverwater. When the water is clear the leaves are taken out and used for rubbing the stomach.
