| Field notes | Tree, 3-4 m tall, with yellowish-white berries. Nom. vern.: puno-chui.-chi-ha!-ki. Use: the birds are said to eat the fruits. A shaman plant used to treat all kind of sickness. Preparation: the shaman pad the patient genbtly with the leaves in order to drive out the evil spirit that abode the body and cause the sickness. |
