| Field notes | Liana, calyx purple towards the tips, corolla creme, young leaves on the lower side red, nectarium of two connate glands. Nom. vern.: fimu-piñ-tapé. Use: for bites of the snake Equis. Preparation: a highly estimated plants. The leaves are ground to a paste that is either applicated directly to the bite in order to stop excess bleeding, or mixed with "aqua de diente" and drunk. |
