| Field notes | Climber with hanging scandent shoots, pedicel purplish- red, calyx purple-brown, corolla red on the outside, white on inside and pilose, epigynous. Nom. vern.: femu-piu-tapé. Use: for bites of the snake Equis. Preparation: the leaves are boiled and the decoction is used to bath the swelled tissue. |
