| Field notes | Fern. Leaves 0.3 m long, spirally arranged. Nom. vern.: Ho-horo-pin tapé (Cayapa) Use: for bites of the "verrugosa" snake (fer-de-lance, bushmaster) Preparation: the leaves are crushed thoroughly and applicated to the bite. This treatment is said to lower the swelling. |
