Field notes Fern. Leaves 0.5 m long, spirally arranged. rachis dark green. Leaflets marginally dark green, otherwise green. Nom. vern.: fimu-piñ-remedio-tapé (Cayapa) Use for bites of the "equis" snake (Bothrops atrox) Preparation: the leaves are crushed and applicated to the bite.
