Field notes Herb, 1 m. Leaves purple below. Flowers pale blue to pale violet. Nom. vern.: "As-ka-cha-remedio-tapé" (Cayapa) Use: For vomiting blood. Preparation: The leaves are crushed to a paste which is taken internally with water in three days or the pas- te is used to prepare a bath.
