| Field notes | Epiphytic with scandent shoots. Corolla pink to green. Nom. vern.: "Fima-piñ-remedio-tapé" (Cayapa) Use: To treat bites from the Equis snake (Bothrops atrox). Preparation: The leaves are crushed to a paste of which a teaspoon is eaten twice a day, in the mor-ning and in the evening. The paste can also be ap- plied directly to the bite. |
