Field notes Herb, 1 m. Flowers white. Anthers yellow. Nom. vern.: "Po-piñ-ha-tapé" (Cayapa) Use: For most diseases. Preparation: One of the plants of the shaman used to drive away the evil spirits which abode in the body of the patient. The shaman chew the crushed leaves, fill the mouth with water and spit the mixture out on the entire body of the patient.
