| Field notes | Epiphytic. Calyx red. Corolla yellow with the constric- ted part being red. Disc reduced to one gland. Nom. vern.: "Fimu-piñ-tapé-ku-mun-chi-bulo-chora- asa-dèlan/.m-mala-piquè-cushnu-tapé" (Cayapa) Use: To treat bites from the Equis snake (Bothrops atrox) Preparation: The leaves are crushed and mixed with water. This cold extraction is drunk 3 times daily. |
