| Field notes | Shrub, 3 m, with scandent shoots. Nom. vern.: "è/.quevua-tapé" (Cayapa) Use: For a fungal disease named "Carate" (Castellano) Preparation: The leaves are crushed and boiled. The resulting paste is applicated to the irritated area of the skin while still hot. The treament is repeat- ed 3 times daily. |
