Leaf sheath tubular forming a 125 cm long crownshaft, glabrous, reddish green to green distally. Petiole 5-10 cm. Rachis 400 cm long. Number of leaflets 2 x 91, pendent. One inflorescence with flowers in bud (red). One inflorescence past the pistillate phase (olive-green with red tinge). Inflorescences with flowers in bud: peduncle short to missing,18 cm across, greenish, basal remnants from three nonsheathing bracts present. Rachis about 75 cm long as measured to the base of the apical rachilla. number of 1. order branches 15.
