Field notes Solitary tree, 6.4 m long, 8 cm in diam., inconspicuously ringed, distal inernodes green 1-2 cm long. Leaves in crown 13. Leaf sheath tubular forming a 45 cm long, yellowish cream, glabrous crownshaft. petiole 5 cm long. Rachis 240 cm long. Number of leaflets 2 x 13, praemorse, regularly distributed, the longest one on the middle part 70 cm long, lighter green below. Three inflorescences with flowers in bud: green in all parts, major branches covered by greyish indumentum. Used locally for making bows. Duplicates at: AAU, LAE, BRI, K, CANB.
