| Field notes | Solitary tree with 7 m long stem, 7 cm in diam. Number of leaves in crown 35. Transition between leaf base and petiole gradual. Longest petiole and leaf base combined 3.1 m long. Leaf scars conspicuous 0.5 - 1 cm wide. Three inflorescences and three old infructescences. Peduncle ca 80 cm long as measured to estimated insertion of the basal 1. order branch. Prophyll 55 cm long, bicarinate with two 'ears' 15-20 cm above the base, yellow to green on exposed parts, splitting shortly apically, more or less cleanly. Basal rachis bract ca 70 cm long, dark green, splitting like prophyll. Number of partial inflorescences 7-8. Peduncle of basal partial inflorescence about 15 cm long. Rachis 30 cm long as measured to the base of the apical rachillae. Number of 2. order branches 22-23, the basal ones subtended by bracts.
