| Field notes | Solitary palm tree with 11 m long stem, 7 cm in diam. Leaf sheath tubular, 69 cm long, green. Petiole 25-28 cm. Rachis 172 cm. Number of leaflets 2x54. Inflorescences all with flowers in bud. Most mature one: peduncle 5 cm long, green. Rachis 35 cm long branching to 3. order. Number of 1. order branches 16, basal 1. order branch 26 cm long as measured to the base of the apical rachilla, with nine 2. order branches, basal 2. order branch bearing 3 rachillae. Rachis branches and rachillae all greenish. Duplicates at: AAU, LAE, BRI, K, CANB. |
