| Field notes | Solitary palm with short stem about 40 cm long. Number of leaves 12, spirally arranged, petioles of variable length 15o-220 cm long, blade divided in 16 segments, the middle one of which is petiolulate sometimes splitting. One inflorescence and one infructescence with immature fruits. Inflorescence: peduncle about 20 cm long, rachis zig-zaging about 40 cm long with 5 rachillae bearing nodes, rachillae hairy to 15 cm long. Flowers yellow. |
