| Field notes | Solitary palm tree, 15 m tall. Leaf sheath about 160 cm long, green with patches of gray crustaceous lichens. Rachis 380 cm long, number of 2nd order divisions 2 X 22, these up to 150 cm on the middle of the rachis and each with 2 X 21 pinnae. Young infructescence with peduncle 100 cm long and 8.5 cm in diameter, peduncular bracts grayish to green basally, desintegrating distally. Rachis 1 m long, green, desintegrating apically, number of rachillae 94. One loculae per fruit. |
