| Field notes | Clustering palm with roots permanently inundated, individual shoots 3-4 m high. Leaf sheaths persistent for about 1 m. Petiole about 170 cm long. Inflorescence past anthesis, with about 80 cm long peduncle. Number of flower bearing nodes 8. rachis 110 cm long. Partial inflorescences once branched the basal one with up to 9 rachillae. Fruits bright red.Additional material: Photos, flowers and fruits fixed in Navashin. |
