Field notes Solitary palm about 5 m tall. Leaves 8-10. Trunk clean. Petiole without spines. Leaf dull green to glaucous. Blade fanshaped, split to about 10 cm from hastula basally and distally to about 80 cm from hastula. Lobes pendent apically. Two inflorescences in bud, one at anthesis, one young infructescence, one infructescence with mature fruits. Description of inflorescence at anthesis: Exposed parts 110 cm long, with 3 partial inflorescences. Internodes 15 - 20 cm long. Basal partial inflorescence 4 times branched. Flowers yellow. Additional material: flowers fixed in Navashin and photographed.
