Field notes Clustering, medium sized palm, 4 m high, growing on swampy shallow soil overlaying limestone outcrop. Stem diameter even throughout 4-4.5 cm. Internodal length about 3 cm. Number of leaves 13, two of which are marcescent. Petiole of fully developed leaves 210 cm long. Maximum leaf span about 145 cm. Blade divided in 13 segments, the basal one about 7 cm wide, the apical one 15 cm wide and bifid, being split to about 10 cm above hastula. Inflorescences 2, 210 cm long. Peduncle about 60 cm. Six nodes bearing partial inflorescences, these once branches basally with 4, about 25 cm long rachillae.
