| Field notes | Solitary palm about 20 m tall and 30 cm in diam. Upper leaf scars brown, 1-4 cm wide, upper internodes green, 5-7 cm long. Leaves in crown 10-11. Leaf sheath tubular forming a green, glabrous, 210 cm long crownshaft, splitting cleanly distally with brown chartaceous margin. Petiole 46 cm long. Rachis 430 cm long. Leaflets 2 x 109, evenly spaced. cross section of petiole below basal leaflets 7 x 4 cm. Two infructescences with green fruits collected. Mainly branched to 2'nd order with one or two 3'rd order braches being present in the basal parts. Two scars from deciduous prphyll and PD bract. Peduncle 7 cm long, woody. rachis 90 cm long ternminating in fruit-bearing rachilla. Number of 1'st order branches about 40. Basal 1'st order branch 65-95 cm long, with 18-22 secondary branches. Length of basal 2'nd order branches (rachillae) 40-50 cm. Green fruits ovoid, average dimensions 50 x 35 mm. Endosperm with radiating, reddish brown ruminations of the seed coat.
