| Field notes | Clustering with 3 stems, ranmet collected 1.5 m tall as measured to the base of the crownshaft, 12-15 mm in diam., upper internodes green, 4.5 cm long. Number of leaves in crown 4, plus one spear leaf. Leaf sheath 31-35 cm long, tubular, forming a green, ferrugineously haired crownshaft. Petiole 22-40 cm long. Rachis 40-50 cm long. Number of leaflets 2 x 5-6, grouped and pointing in different directions. One inflorescence past pistillate phase and one old inflorescence. Floral branches red. Infructescences collected from other gamet. mature fruits bright red, 15 x 8 mm, obclavate. Duplicates at: AAU, LAE, BRI, K, CANB. |
