| Field notes | "Caespitose palm, common in understorey, shoot collected 5 cm long, 4 cm in diam., internodal length at the middle ca. 8 cm, covered by crustaceous lichens, upper nodes blackish-brown. Number of leaves in crown 5, leaf sheath 49 cm long, green covered by grayish scales and with beige tinge distally. petiole 50-55 cm long. rachis 139 cm long. Number of leaflets 2 x 15, unevenly spaced and in different planes. Inbfructescences 2: one mature with red fruits 8 x 5 mm; one immature with pale greenish yellow fryuits, 8 x 4 mm.
