| Field notes | Dominating element in parts of fresh-water swamp forest. Acaulescent with apical meristem periodically inundated. Petiole 150-200 cm long. Rachis 200-250 cm long. Inflorescence inundated, proximal rachilla with white flowers at pistillate anthesis, distal rachillae with young fruits. Mature infructescence above water. Fruits reddish brown, ca. 3.5 cm in diam., irregularly shaped with narrow base. |
