| Field notes | Caespitose understory palm with multiple, equally sized shoots about 150 cm long and 10-15 mm in diam. Petiole 10-80 cm long. Rachis 30-60 cm long. Petals of staminate flowers purple on the outside, orange and shiny on the inside, stamens yellow. Peduncle 15-30 cm long. Pistillate peduncle 15-30 cm long. Rachis 25-35 cm long. Flowers with orange petals and green gynoecium. |
