| Field notes | Solitary palm in logged area, about 10 m tall. Trunk with green nodes distally, 5.5 cm in diam. basally, scar width 1.5-2 cm, greenish brown. Leaf sheath about 70 cm long, tubular, mat green with scattered ferrugenuous spots, variable in density. Petiole lacking. Rachis about 160 cm long. Number of pinnae 2 x 20. One inflorescence, two infructescences, one old infructescence present. Staminate flowers yellow, pistillate flowers with green tinge. Nom. vern.: "nombol" (Bewani talkplace). |
