| Field notes | Clustered palm. Stem collected about 9 cm in diam. (incl. leaf bases). Petiole 50-70 cm. Rachis 405 cm. Blade pinnately divided with 2 X 75 pinnae irregularly distributed in groups of 2-3 at the middle part of the rachis and pointing in different directions. Leaf rachis and mid veins yellow. Peduncle of inflorescence about 100 cm long. Rachis 6-7 m long, bearing 6 clusters of rachillae, the distal 3 m forming a flagellum. Flowers fixed in Navashin. Photos. |
