| Field notes | Clustered low palm with stems up to 1 m tall. Petiole 50-120 cm long. Inflorescence with 50-65 cm long peduncle. Rachis 140-170 cm. Number of rachillae bearing nodes 8. Proximal first order branch with 4-5 rachillae. Distance between nodes decreasing fron 25-40 cm basally to about 10 cm distally. Subtending bracts tubular, green, desintegrated apically, to 25 cm long in the proximal parts of the inflorescence, about 7 cm long distally. Flowers fixed in Navashin. |
