| Field notes | Four meter tall on sandy soil in dense vegetation dominated by palms. Hapaxanthic with basipetal flowering. Leaves 8. Proximal 55 cm of leaf sheath tubular, green with fibrous margins. Petiole 40-60 cm long. Rachis 160-180 cm long. Number of rachillae 7-9. Flowers green. Functional anthers yellow. |
