| Field notes | About 6 m tall individual, solitary, with persistent leaf bases to the ground. Crownshaft missing. Leaf sheath splitting proximally and towards the petiole. Petiole 310-320 cm long, deeply furrowed adaxially with sharp edges, spineless. Blade with 80 cm long costa. Leaf segments 150-170 cm long. Additional leaves collected from juvenile individual about 150 cm tall. Fruits olivegreen to black. |
