| Field notes | Herb. Close to trail. Light and open spot. Nom. vern.: Ho-horo-tapé (Cayapa). Use: For snake bites ("Verrugosa" (Span.), "Bushmaster" (Engl.) "Ho-Horo" (Cayapa) = Lachesis mala). Prep.: A decoction is made from the crude leaves, which is applied to the bites. Used to counteract the infection. |
