| Field notes | Common on dark spots close to trail. Nom.vern.: Ba.-vè-ro-tapé (Cayapa). Use: For removing unwanted growth of beard. Prep.: The spikelet is used as a razor blade. The hairs are wedged between the glumes and thus torn out. Tested by collector: Efficient, but very painful. |
