| Field notes | Solitary palm, 2.6 m tall. Stem green, distance between leaf scars basally 10 cm, distally 5 cm. Diam. 1.8 cm. Crown of 5 leaves plus spear leaf. Leaf petiole 35 cm long, terete olivegreen. Rachis 75 cm. Number of leaflets 2 x 13, arranged in groups of 2-3. Inflorescence pinkish to bright red at maturity. Anthers white. Nom. vern.: "Muin" (Bewani talkplace). |
