| Field notes | Caespitose understorey palm, about 3.5 m tall, stem 2.6 cm in diam . Ditance between leaf scars basally 4 cm, distally 3 cm. Width of leaf scars 1-1.5 cm. Infructescence 1. Fruits yellowish red, maturing red. Spike of immature inflorescence collected from separate individual, with diamond shaped patterns surrounding the floral triads. Nom vern.: "Sanumb" (Bewani talkplace). |
