| Field notes | Caespitose, ca. 5 m tall. Diam. of stem 6.5 cm. Distance between upper nodes 20-25 cm. Crown to 5 leaves plus one spear leaf. Leaf sheath ca. 70 cm long, tublular almost all along, distally with two brown, chartaceous auricles. Petiole 50 cm long. Rachis 126 cm long. Pinnae 2 X 22-25, irregularly distributed in groups of up to 4. |
