| Field notes | Unicate for distribution record. Solitary. Sterile. Stem 370 cm tall, 12-14 cm in diam. Internodes longitudinally fissured, basally 8-10 cm long, distally 5-6 cm long and black to dark brown. Leaf sheath 25-35 cm long or longer on juvenile individuals, proximal 5-10 cm tubular, green. Petiole 30-110 cm long. Rachis 290-350 cm long. |
