Field notes Cultivated on palm field at the Peninsular botanic Garden at Trang. Stem collected about 2 m tall, but much higher, up to 6 m, on adjacent individuals. Leaf sheath desintegratedin fibrous mesh, light brown. petiole 110-130 cm long, light green to yellowish green proximally to loght green distally. Inflorescences 4, bearing fruits in many stages. Peduncle ca. 60 cm. Prophyll and subtending bracts chartaceous and brown. Rachillae-bearing branches 5, green. Fruits green and shiny, bluish green at maturity, 2.5 X 1.5 cm.
