| Field notes | Solitary sterile acaulescent palm. Umber of leaves 9, leaves apparrently him extracted for thatching; exposed partof petiole to 50 cm long, green with grayish brownzone abaxially terminating in a triangle, cross section of petiole semiterete without any sharp edge, rachis; 264 cmlong, proximalmost app. 108 cm flattened above, narrowing gradually into a rounded edge, the transtion between the two regions inconspicuous; pinnae 2 x 69, regularly distributed we plane, the basalmost pinnae not pendent, closely inserted and subalternate, central pinnae largest to 70 x 3.9 cm |
