| Field notes | Growing adjacent to small river often overhanging the water. Caespitose with 10-15 stems in clusters. Stem 4-6 m tall. Diameter 3 cm. Lower parts of stem black, upper parts with light brown nodes. Leaves in crown 6. Leaf sheath with whitish powder, 33 cm long. Petiole 10 cm long. Leaf rachis 85 cm long, with 2 x 31 leaflets.
