| Field notes | Solitary. Stem 9,5 m tall. Diameter 10 cm. Lower part of stem brown, distal 1 m with 4 cm long, green internodes, leaf scars 1-1,5 cm long. Leaves in crown 7. Leaf sheath 50 cm. Leaf sheath split half the way to the base. Leaf petiole 70 cm. Leaf rachis 2,8 m with 51 x 2 leaflets. Inflorescence with brigth purple rachis, rachillae and flowers. Peduncle 27 cm long, entirely covered by prophyll. Infructecence with pale green rachis and rachillae. Immature fruits globose 0.5 cm in diam., green to orange.
