| Field notes | Stems clustered, 15 m tall, 0.6 cm dtameter. Sheaths closed, tubular, green, with scattered, short, black spines denser at sheath apices; flagella present but only 20 cm long; knees present; ocreas very short; petioles very short, 0.8 cm long; rachises 10 cm long with 2-3 pinnae per side, the basal pair swept back across the sheath; cirri present, 44 cm long, with irregularly arranged spines. Pistillate inflorescences 28 cm long, not or scarcely flagellate; pistillate flowers opposite but irregularly so. DNA sample. N.V.: may cam tau". (Specimen collected by Mr. Phan Quyet) |
