| Field notes | Stems solitary, 1.5 m tall, 1.7 cm diameter, reddish-brown. Leaves 17; sheaths 6 cm long; petioles 40 cm long; blades 25 cm across, with 5 segments, the central one the widest, not split, with the costa reaching the apex of the segment. Inflorescences staminate, amongst the leaves and shorter than them, arching, 40 cm long, with a single partial inflorescence; rachillae and flowers yellow. DNA sample. |
