| Field notes | Stems solitary, 95 cm tall, 7 cm diameter, covered with short, persistent leaf bases. Leaves 21; sheaths very short, only 12 cm long, with prominent, 20 cm long ocreas; petioles 137 cm long with small, black spines on basal ca. one half; blades 105 cm across with 18 segments, the middle one petiolulate, not split, joined at its apex to two lateral ones. Old inflorescences present, 2 m long, erect, with 8 partial inflorescences.V.n. “ao toi” |
