| Field notes | Stems clustered, to 3 m tall, 3.5 cm diameter, prominently ringed. Leaves 14-17; petioles 133 cm long, spiny at base only; blade 90 cm wide with 13-18 segments, the middle one split almost to the base into two equal lobes, these the same width as the others.
